Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) consists of all the activities relating to the verification of the quality, quantity, price (including currency exchange rate and financial terms), Customs valuation and classification of goods being exported to the territory of the User’s Government.
PSI is a part of supply chain management and an important and reliable quality control method for checking quality of the goods, when clients buy from the suppliers and vendors.
IRICO provides PSI services as a part of governmental requirements for trade of goods. Governments have implemented rules and regulations for pre-shipment inspection to ensure that imported goods comply with national mandatory standards.
- Quantity, Packing and Marking check,
- Document conformance, invoice, packing list accommodation, test reports
- Compliance with the standards as mandated by the destination country.
- Supervision of loading
Given the PSI process is satisfying, a certificate is issued by IRICO confirming compliance of the goods with relevant standards and requirements. The IRICO inspection certificate allows import (or export) party to assure its quality and reliability for the buyer.
